The two French allow the French delegation to raise its record to four medals, with a first world title.

It will not only be Alexis Pinturault to bring back medals from Cortina d'Ampezzo.

Mathieu Faivre won world gold at the parallel of the World Ski Championships, played on the snow in the Dolomites, on Tuesday afternoon.

The Frenchman offers himself the first global individual title in this discipline and allows the French delegation to count their first coronation after the bronze in super-G and the silver in the combined of Pinturault.

In the same event, Tessa Worley won bronze.

Mathieu Faivre dominated the Croatian Filip Zubcic in the final of this event during which two skiers compete in parallel.

The French had already taken 23 hundredths in advance during his passage on the blue part, the slower of the two.

He confirmed his break during the second passage on the red route, offering his first Marseillaise of the competition to the Blues.

Mikaela Shiffrin's ex was excluded from the 2018 Games

Team medalist in 2017 in Saint-Moritz, Mathieu Faivre won his first individual medal in a major championship.

In 2018, the ex-companion of the American Mikaela Shiffrin had created controversy by being excluded from the French delegation to the Pyeongchang Olympics for an interview where he refused to congratulate himself on the good collective performance of the Blues, believing to be " there for [his] apple ”.

Worley in shape before the giant

Tessa Worley was convincing, beating American Paula Moltzan in the small final.

A good omen before the female giant, where the French is double world champion, disputed Thursday.

Besides Worley, the French can still count on Alexis Pinturault to win other medals at Cortina d'Ampezzo.

The Courchevel skier will line up with the giant, of which he is the favorite, Friday and the slalom on Sunday.

A race in which we will also have to rely on Clément Noël, winner in Chamonix at the end of January.
