SPIEGEL:
Mr. Hartung, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has published a so-called playbook.
There are rules of conduct for the athletes who will take part in the Summer Games in Tokyo.
As an athlete, what do you think of this?
Hartung:
It's a drainage and hygiene concept.
Both the term playbook and the images in the concept create the impression of fun and youthfulness.
But it is more about sober measures that are not surprising.
It is a reflection of our current everyday life: masks, distance, hygiene rules, corona tests.
It's going to be very clinical games.
SPIEGEL:
Do you feel taken with you?
Hartung:
I am disappointed overall.
The details that I want to know more about as an athlete have not been touched.
When hosting the Olympic Games with over 10,000 athletes, hygiene rules need to be reconciled with the need to prepare for the competition on site.
There is nothing about this in the playbook.
