In the power struggle at the second division soccer club Hamburger SV, the entire presidium around President Marcell Jansen has resigned.
In addition to Jansen, Vice Thomas Schulz and Treasurer Moritz Schaefer also resigned from their offices.
As a representative, eV managing director Kumar Tschana was unanimously appointed.
Jansen will also remain on the AG's supervisory board as an eV representative until the new presidency is elected.
"After very intensive and goal-oriented discussions in the past few days, we as the Presidium have jointly decided to resign from our Presidium offices with immediate effect and thus no longer make the last differences of opinion in the Presidium a topic within our association," it said an email to the HSV members.
No agreement on important issues
Internal quarrels have burdened the second division leaders' climate for weeks.
Jansen, Schulz and Schaefer are so divided that they could not even agree on a timely date for an Extraordinary General Meeting.
Schulz and Schaefer had different views than Jansen on important issues.
Among other things, it was about the candidates for the supervisory board of the football club of the league leaders of the 2nd Bundesliga and the possible sale of further shares.
