Atletico draw with Levante and renew hope of rivals for the title

Atletico Madrid, leaders of the Spanish Premier League, settled for a 1-1 draw with Levante, today, to give some hope to Real Madrid and Barcelona's pursuers to return to the title race.

After their second tie in three league matches, Atletico raised their tally to 55, six points behind second-placed Real Madrid, but one more game remains.

Barcelona ranks third with 46 points.

Levante took the lead in the 17th minute, after his pressure grabbed the ball near the midfield and Jorge de Frutos sped up before passing to Ennis Bardi to put the ball in the net.

Atletico equalized before the end of the first half, with a shot by Marcos Llorente, which hit the head of Levante defender Roger Pierre and tricked goalkeeper Eitor Fernandez.
