Thierry Henry is close to returning to English football.
The legendary Arsenal striker, who currently serves as the coach of Montreal Impact in the American MLS League, has been interviewed for the position of Bournemouth coach and according to the Daily Mirror he is also the man who is expected to get the job at the sixth-ranked sub-league.
Apart from Henry, the list of candidates also included his Arsenal teammate Patrick Vieira, John Terry and David Wagner, who coached Huddersfield.
Jason Tindel, who replaced Eddie Howe as Bournemouth coach at the start of the season after being relegated from the Premier League, was sacked about two weeks ago and has since stood on the lines of former Jonathan Woodgate.

The 43-year-old Henry, world champion and European champion with the French national team and king of all-time Arsenal goals, began his coaching career as Roberto Martinez's assistant for the Belgium national team and in the 2018/19 season experienced a brief and unsuccessful episode as coach of Monaco, the team where he began his playing career.
He arrived in Montreal in November 2019, when he was given a two-year contract with an extension option.
