Maccabi Tel Aviv celebrates in the locker room the illegal immigration to the Cup final (Maccabi Tel Aviv)

Three and a half weeks after its last Euroleague game, Maccabi Tel Aviv will return tomorrow (Thursday, 21:45, live on Sport 5) to the European arena when it will be hosted at the Medellin Forum in Milan by Armani Milano.

The Yellows come into the game with a balance of 10 wins versus 12 losses, while the Italian team has won 15 games and lost eight.

The last period was accompanied by a series of league and cup games for the Yellows who could not host in Israel after the airport closed to foreign flights.

As a result, the games against Andulo Zero and the Moscow Khimki were postponed, at which point only the game against the Turkish team was rescheduled.

Maccabi Tel Aviv watched from the sidelines as the gap between them and the playoffs only swelled, and now it is not certain that eight wins from the remaining 12 games will be enough to take the place of the last eight.

What is certain is that a loss tomorrow in Milan will significantly reduce the chances of the team entering the playoffs.

The Yellows are out to face an almost full squad, including new reinforcement player TJ Klein who is expected to dress at least, while Omri Caspi is expected to continue to be absent.

The team has expressed some concern that the long period without a Euroleague game could hurt them, but at the same time convey optimism that the season can still be turned upside down.

"We play against a team with great quality," Sapropoulos said.

"The second best attack in the Euroleague and good defense, we have to be focused to stop their way to create points, and play well on offense and not give them the chance to hit our attack. It's a fight we will have to be in maximum energy and full concentration. At a good pace, we did not have a game a week, we played back to back, and with high intensity, all the players were in focus and played the games, in terms of pace of the game we will not have a problem. We will have to play with high energy and concentration, we presented it in Israel. ".

Armani Milano, who won in the first round by Elijah from Malcolm Delanei's basket, are coming into the game in the midst of a good period, having won six of their last seven Euroleague games and even won the Italian Cup this weekend easily.

The team will appear for the game without inside player Zack Lydie who was injured this week and will be out of action for two weeks.

Milan, who have lost to Maccabi Tel Aviv at home only once since the aforementioned playoff series from 2014, have five players on the roster who are hitting double digits this season, including the injured Lydie.

Apart from him, Kevin Panther leads with 14.5 points, Shawn Shields with 12.9 points, Malcolm Delaney with 11.6 points and Sergio Rodriguez with 10.6 points and 4.2 assists.

Other leading players are veterans Kyle Haynes, Vladimir Michov and Luigi Datuma.
