The Swiss prosecutors do not agree with the judgments in the trial against former Fifa general secretary Jérôme Valcke and football functionary Nasser Al-Khelaifi.
You have appealed, as confirmed by the Federal Prosecutor in Bern.
A third defendant, a Greek businessman, had also been acquitted.
The criminal proceedings before the Federal Criminal Court in Bellinzona concerned possible corruption in the award of media rights to world championships.
The defendants had denied wrongdoing.
Valcke was acquitted of the allegation of disloyal management last October.
However, Valcke was sentenced to a suspended fine of 120 daily rates over 200 Swiss francs (around 185 euros) for falsifying documents.
In addition, he was supposed to pay Fifa around 1.75 million euros and a legal fee of 80,000 Swiss francs (around 74,000 euros).
Valcke was released from his duties at the world association in September 2015.
Al-Khelaifi, president of the Paris-St-Germain football club and owner of the Qatari media group beIN, had been acquitted of charges of incitement to misconduct.
The Greek businessman was also acquitted.
"With their appeal, the Federal Prosecutor's Office is demanding that the first instance judgment be amended so that the three accused are convicted for the offenses described in the indictment," said the prosecution.
During the trial, she had demanded "partially conditional imprisonment" lasting several months for all three defendants, including 36 months for Valcke.
In the case of a partial custodial sentence, only part of the sentence is carried out.
The execution of the remaining sentence is temporarily postponed.
