Manchester City once again look unstoppable.
The Premier League leader last night (Wednesday) increased her advantage at the top to 10 points, after beating Everton 1: 3.
Poden, Rhymes and Bernardo Silva dominated the final game at Goodison Park and set City's winning streak at 17 in all competitions, with the team remaining in perfect balance from the start of 2021 and setting the record for opening the best calendar year ever in England.
"We do not play with the goal of setting records, but take it game after game. Of course when you play like that, you win again and again, then all kinds of records come too," said Mahraz at the end.
"The most important thing is to concentrate on every game, and not think about the big picture, not think too far."
City continue to sail in England, and the good news for them (and the less good for the rest of the league) is that Kevin de Bruyne and Sergio Aguero are slowly getting back into shape, making the lead even more powerful.
That does not stop Pep Guardiola from lowering expectations.
"When you win so many games, everyone wants to win you and it's not easy. What matters is that the players do not think about the situation in the table. We talked about it. We do not try to keep our lead at the top, but only take three points in each game."

Guardiola praised Bernardo Silva, who continued his excellent form and put in another wonderful game at the link.
"What a player he is, what a player ... that's all that can be said about him. Everything he does, he does at a very high level. In the year we won the second championship in a row, he was unstoppable, a very important screw in the system. And now he's back big." Said the coach.
An encouraging rhyme from the return of de Brauna and Aguero.
"It will give the team another leap forward. We need everyone in this race, and their return is very good," he said.
Is it getting closer?

But aside from the two-star comeback, City continue to wait for the biggest star of all - Leo Messi - who is set to join in the summer.
The Argentine star is once again frustrated in Barcelona after the defeat against PSG in the first game of the Champions League quarter-finals, and in Spain it is reported that despite reports linking him to PSG, the main candidate to join him at the moment is Manchester City.
According to reports, "Messi is closer to moving to City than staying at Barcelona," and is determined to reunite forces with Guardiola.
For now, Messi is waiting for the Barcelona presidential election, and hopes that the preferred candidate Joan Laporta will get the most votes.
Either way, Spain reports, "If he decides to leave, Manchester City is the best and most realistic option for him."
