A great performance by Arling Holland in the first game against Sevilla in the eighth round of the Champions League (2: 3), with a double and cooking, brought Dortmund closer to the next stage.
The Norwegian has given Schwarzgelben their first away win in Spain in the Champions League since October 1996, when they beat Atletico Madrid 0-1 and recorded their 25th goal of the season in the yellow uniform in just 24 appearances.
A day after seeing Killian Ambape break up Barcelona (1: 4) at the Camp Nou in PSG uniform, Viking said the Frenchman's performance inspired him.
"When I saw Killian score a hat-trick yesterday I got free motivation so I thank him," he said.
"It was a nice evening. Ambape scored beautiful goals, so I got a boost from him and it was nice," he added.
Holland and Ambape by the way, are the only two players to score 18 goals before reaching the age of 21. The Norwegian added: "We had a good game plan. Edin is a good coach and I talked to him a lot. He said today would be my game and I would get my chances and I got. It's an important win. We "We need to recover quickly now. We have another huge game already this weekend. We need to stay in that positive thinking and take it forward because we have to win the derby against Schalke, but it was very nice to win today."
