Angelo Stiller, who is leaving the club in the summer, could still play a role under Hansi Flick.

Munich - FC Bayern has to deal with the next setback in terms of personnel.

World champion Corentin Tolisso has been seriously injured and has been out for months due to a tendon tear.

The midfielder has already had an operation and is unlikely to be available to the team this season.

Angelo Stiller: is he filling the gap at Bayern after Corentin Tolisso's injury?

This gives Hansi Flick one more task that he will have to solve in the coming months.

Tolisso was on the ball in 14 of 21 games in the Bundesliga, three times in the Champions League and once in the DFB Cup.

The successful coach now has fewer and fewer options in the squad behind the top duo Leon Goretzka and Joshua Kimmich in defensive midfield.

At the press conference before the game against EIntracht Frankfurt, he announced: "It is quite possible that, given the failures, players from the second team will also be important for the next games."

Angelo Stiller has so far not played a major role in Flick's plans.

The top performers from the U23 therefore decided in winter to leave the club in the coming summer for 1899 Hoffenheim free of charge.

The 19-year-old has 66 minutes of playing time in three games this season (2x CL, 1x DFB-Pokal).

Stiller is still waiting for his debut in the Bundesliga.

Angelo Stiller: Free transfer to Hoffenheim in the summer is certain

With his former sponsor Sebastian Hoeneß, the native of Munich would like to break into the first division at TSG 1899 Hoffenheim in the summer.

But due to the failure of Tolisso, with the large number of games, he may now have the unexpected chance with coach Hansi Flick.

Jochen Sauer, who is an avowed fan of the midfield boss from the reserve, would also be happy about it.

The head of the youth department of FC Bayern can imagine a career of the “original Munich man” in the red jersey despite the departure: “It is not impossible that he might return to Munich at some point.”
