The EC Peiting still has the direct entry into the play-offs in view: At EV Lindau an important victory was achieved on Friday evening.
The decision was made immediately after a sentence against the ECP.
Lindau - Ty Morris was angry.
The Peitinger striker did not see that he had to go to the penalty box after a duel.
In the game between the host EV Lindau and EC Peiting, the final phase had just begun when the score was 2: 2.
A short number is always unfavorable in such moments.
But the guests showed their cleverness, didn't give them a chance - and then hit them themselves.
When Morris was allowed out of the penalty box, he got the puck after a few seconds.
This was followed by a precise pass to Nardo Nagtzaam, who scored the goal to make it 3-2 (58th).
That was the crux of the matter, in the end the ECP won the league game 4: 2 (0: 0, 1: 1, 3: 1).
An important win in the battle for a play-off spot.
“It was the tough game expected,” said ECP coach Sebastian Buchwieser.
He had seen "a good game by both teams".
It was important that "we could quickly equalize the 1: 2 in the final third".
Buchwieser complimented his team, "also in view of the small squad".
The ECP had only 15 field players on Friday evening.
The Lindauer, however, had four complete assault and attack rows available.

In the first third, both teams tried not to make any mistakes or to concede.
It took until the seventh minute before a goalkeeper - in this case Peitings Florian Hechenrieder - had to seriously intervene for the first time.
The keeper confidently parried the long-range shot with the schooner.
It went back and forth, but hardly any really compelling actions came about.
Not even when Lindau was outnumbered (10th).
A heavy shot from Andreas Feuerecker, which EVL keeper Lucas di Berado parried (16.), heralded a Peitinger urge phase.
Nagtzaam (17th) and again Feuerecker (19th) had further chances.
In between, Hechenrieder had to clear against Lindaus Fredrik Widen (18th).
The second third began with a Peitinger majority, in which Lindaus Brayden Low almost scored a goal.
Hechenrieder blocked the shot with his shoulder (23rd).
Then the ECP controlled the action and came up with the opening goal: Thomas Heger put across, Feuerecker scored in the fall to 1-0 (27th).
Nagtzaam failed a little later in a return move by the goalkeeper (28th).
Shortly afterwards, Lindaus Andreas Farny faked the puck to make it 1-1 into Peitinger Tor (29th).
As a result, the hosts had various chances.
Shortly before the end of the third, the ECP had bad luck with a margin from Maximilian Hüsken (38th).
The guests had to start the final third in a minority - and received the 1: 2 (41st) through Farny.
A little later, Nagtzaam reacted faster than two Lindauers, grabbed the puck, loaded the keeper and scored 2-2 (44th).
The game developed into a hard-fought duel.
ECP goalkeeper Hechenrieder held strong against Daniel Schwamberger who broke through (47th).
On the other hand, di Berado parried quickly against Heger (51.).
When Morris went to the penalty box, Lindau seemed to have an advantage.
But Peiting defended cleverly - and when Morris came back on the ice, he initiated Nagtzaam's 3-2 (58th).
The "Islanders" took the goalkeeper off the ice, made a mistake, which Aziz Ehliz punished with the empty net goal to make it 4: 2 (59th).
A few days ago, an empty-net-goal led to the victory over Lindau.
