Federica Brignone

", was born on July 14, 1990 in
Milan
.
Her
mother
is the former internationally known
ski racer
Maria Rosa Quario.
At the age of six, Brignone and her family moved to La Salle, which is in the Aosta Valley.
There she quickly became a member of the local ski club.
In 2005 she started in her first
race
and took part in competitions in the
European Cup the
following year
.
At first, Brignone's career began rather mediocre.
Apart
from a few good placements in
junior and schoolchildren competitions
, the aspiring winter sportswoman was unable to achieve any notable successes.
It was no different
at her first
World Cup competition
in 2007: Brignone was eliminated in the first run.
In the 2008/2009 season, however, the longed-for
breakthrough came
on the international stage.

Ski racer Federica Brignone
started in 2010 at the
Junior World Championships

giant slalom

in the same year made Brignone 18th in the same discipline.
In 2011 she participated in the
Alpine World Ski Championships

In 2018, ski racer Federica Brignone started at the Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang, where she finished third on the podium in the giant slalom.
In the same year, she and two teammates won the first Italian triple victory in the downhill race in Bad Kleinkirchheim.
Brignone was also able to convince

Alpine Combined

The 2019/2010 season also began very successfully with five wins in both
slalom

Super G
and combination.
