The NBA All-Star Game is approaching and tonight (Thursday through Friday) the ten players who will make up the opening five in the game, which will take place on March 7 in Atlanta, have been announced.
LeBron James and Kevin Durant have been selected as captains of the two teams that will compete against each other, and each of them will select on March 4 the 11 players who will play with him in the team out of the 22 who received the most votes (including the crowd, media and players).
The other eight that have already been announced and will get to open in the top five: From the East come Yannis Antocompo, Joel Ambide, Bradley Bill and Kyrie Irving.
In the west Steph Kerry, Luka Doncic, Kwai Leonard and Nikola Jukic.
Whoever stays out of the top five is Damien Lillard, after breaking a tie with Doncic in the West Guard category.
This provoked controversy and a wave of reactions on social media and the American media.
