Manchester City decided to reduce its offer to sign Lionel Messi, the Barcelona star, during the upcoming summer of Mercato.
According to the British newspaper "The Sun", Manchester City reduced the offer made to Messi by 170 million pounds, noting that the London club had previously made Messi an offer of 600 million pounds when they tried to sign him six months ago.
The newspaper pointed out that the new offer for Manchester City next season will be worth 430 million pounds only for 5 years.
The new offer includes a two-year contract with Messi with an option to extend for 12 months and then move to Orlando City in the MLS for two years.
Messi's contract with Barcelona expires next summer and the player can sign for free with any club.
