Three games were played tonight (Thursday-Friday) in the NBA League when the focus was on the meeting between two candidates for the championship that ended in a Brooklyn (12:19) victory in Los Angeles, 98: 109 over the Lakers (8:22).
James Harden scored 23 points, Joe Harris added 21 (6 threes) and the Nets overcame the champion who came in with a particularly short roster, en route to a fifth straight win - Brooklyn's longest streak this season so far.
Kyrie Irving contributed 16 points and 7 rebounds and the Nets won easily even without Kevin Durant, who missed the last three games due to a muscle strain.
LeBron James scored 32 points, dropped 8 rebounds and handed out 7 assists, and recorded a significant milestone when he reached 35,000 career points.
That was not enough for the champion who was missing the injured Anthony Davis and Dennis Schroeder (Corona Protocol).
Milwaukee (13:16) - Toronto (15:14) 110: 96
Fifth consecutive loss to the Bucks, their longest losing streak in four years, and perhaps it has to do with the fact that Jero Holiday has been sidelined for 6 games due to the Corona Protocol.
The Raptors were led by Norman Powell who put up a particularly effective game with a season-high 29 points (9 of 12 from the field), Pascal Siakam added 27. On the other side, Yannis Antocompo scored 23 points (0 of 4 from three), adding 12 rebounds and 8 Assists.
Sacramento (16:12) - Miami (17:12) 118: 110
Jimmy Butler recorded his third straight triple-double (13 points, 13 assists, 10 rebounds) and inflicted a fifth straight loss to Sacramento.
Am Adbayo also recorded a triple-double with 16 points, 10 assists and 12 rebounds and helped Miami achieve its first win in Sacramento after nearly five years.
Tile Hiro led the scenes with 27 and Kelly Olinik added 22.
A day after losing a 15-point lead at halftime to lose to Golden State in overtime, even against the Kings Miami built a big lead at the half (43:57), but this time managed to keep it until the end.
The loser was led by Nemanja Bielitsa Bagley with 25 points.
