Pius Paschke's successes as a ski jumper steadily increase with age.
For example, at the age of 30, he managed to set his own record in ski flying.

Pius Paschke
on 20 May 1990 in Munich.
He attended the ski boarding school in Oberstdorf, where he also graduated from high school.
The
ski jumper
now lives
in Kiefersfelden and also competes for the local WSV Kiefersfelden.
Paschke started winter sports at the age of four and in 2005 he took part in an international competition for the first time - the
FIS jumping
in Hinterzarten.
Until 2010, the young athlete was mainly seen in the Alpine and FIS Cups, but in 2008 he also won the
German Youth Championship
.
Three years later, Paschke also won the
German championships
.
He achieved this success with Severin Freund, Marinus Kraus and Michael Neumayer in the
Bayern II team
.
For this he started again the following year and finished third with Michael Dreher, Markus Eisenbichler and Christian Heim.
In 2013, Pius Paschke was finally able to make his debut in the
World Cup
and only reached 47th place in the individual, and the next day 41st place.

World Cup

However, this time he again missed the points and had to be satisfied with places 41 and 44.

2015/2016
At his premiere at the Four Hills Tournament,
Pius Paschke
achieved a point place in 29th place and landed in 39th place overall. From 2017, the ski jumper achieved greater successes again.
He won
the
Continental Cup
for the first time
in
Trondheim
.
Paschke repeated this victory on February 9, 2019 in Iron Mountain.
The athlete finally achieved his best World Cup placement to date in 2020. On January 11th, he jumped from the
normal hill in Predazzo
to eighth place.

Paschke's first World Cup victory followed on February 29, albeit in a

In Lahti he made it to
first place
with Stephan Leyhe,
Karl Geiger
and Constantin Schmid.

ski flying
that took place this season led Paschke to success and achieved his

with 220.5 m
.
Together with the DSV-Adler, it went to the
World Cup
again in the
2020/2021 season
.
Here he topped his previous best position from January 2020 and finished fifth in Nizhny Tagil.
He succeeded again on December 20, 2020.
At the age of
30 years
was
Pius Paschke
as successful as ever.
He himself stated that in recent years he had concentrated more and more intensely on catching up and could be found on the hill and in the weight room every day.
The cooperation with
trainer
Stefan Horngacher also played an important role in the further development of the
ski jumper

The two have been working together since autumn 2020.
