PSG: Di Maria continues his work of recovery

2021-02-19T18:13:14.688Z

The Argentine will miss Monaco's reception at the Parc on Sunday. His return to training is hoped for later this week.

Angel Di Maria is getting closer to a return to training.

Victim of an injury to the right thigh at the start of the match against OM (2-0) on February 7, the Argentine will miss a fourth game in a row on Sunday when he receives Monaco.

But he could return to training in the course of the following week, before the trip to Dijon on Saturday 27. A gradual recovery awaits the left-hander.

PSG will give a more complete medical assessment this Saturday before Mauricio Pochettino's press conference.

Neymar is also continuing treatment after his adductor injury, which occurred against Caen on February 10.

The Brazilian is taking his time to get back to 100% and his return to the Camp des Loges grounds is not expected until the week of March 3.

He would still have a chance to participate in the second leg of the knockout stages of the Champions League against Barcelona.

But PSG will not take any risk with its star.

Good humor in the Parisian ranks

Colin Dagba, hit in the right thigh since the victory against Nîmes, continues an individualized recovery work, just like Juan Bernat, who recovers day after day from his rupture of the cruciate ligament of the left knee.

PSG recorded this Friday the return to training of Timothée Pembélé, who therefore leaves the health protocol imposed after a positive test for Covid-19.

One thing is certain, good humor has reigned at Camp des Loges since the return from Barcelona.

Especially at Kylian Mbappé, named this Friday player of the week in the Champions League thanks to his hat-trick registered Tuesday at Camp Nou.

Asked about the future of the world champion, Pochettino said he was confident in an interview with Catalan radio.

"PSG can give him everything he needs to stay in Paris for several years," says the Argentine coach.
