We thought we had already seen almost every possible personal record in the NBA, but what Jamal Marie did this morning (Saturday) in Denver, never did any player before him and this time including even Wilt Chamberlain.

The Nuggets' Canadian quarterback scored 50 points without a single free throw in his team's 103: 120 over Cleveland.

No player before him crossed the 50-point mark without throwing from the penalty spot and Marie did so in almost perfect percentages (21 of 25 and 8 of 10 off the arc).

After the game, Marie was not really aware of his incredible record and said: "I just scored my shots, it's cool to make history, it's a good start for me."

The coordinator stole the show for Nikola Jukic who recorded another triple double and scored 30 points just in the second half.

Marie scored 84 percent from the field, second only to Wilt Chamberlain for a player reaching 50 points.

But Marie not only worked for his numbers, while Cleveland tried to get back in the game, the quarterback stitched three threes in a 65-second time frame and pushed his team to a 21-point lead. This record.

Cleveland tried to replace some guards on Marie, who was unimpressed and said, "It really doesn't matter who guards me."

By the way, despite all of Nikola Jokic's records, Jamal Marie is the first player in Denver history to record three games of 50 points or more on the team (including the playoffs).

By the way, this is the second time this season that two players have scored 50 points (Joel Ambide) that night after Nikola Jokic and Steph Kerry did it two weeks ago.

It's also the first time since 2006 that two Denver players (Michael Porter Jr.) have scored at least 20 points in the first half.
