League leaders Manchester City remain the team of the hour in the Premier League.

Three days before the Champions League round of 16 against Borussia Mönchengladbach, Man City won 1-0 (1-0) at Arsenal, celebrating their 13th league success in a row.

With ten points ahead after 25 games, the team of former Bayern coach Pep Guardiola in England is clearly on a master course.

Followers Leicester City won 2-1 at Aston Villa, Manchester United followed suit with a 3-1 win over Newcastle United in the evening.

If you add the other competitions, City's record is even more impressive: The team has now won 18 competitive games in a row, conceding only six goals.

The last time Manchester did not win in the league game against West Brom, that was in mid-December.

City took the lead through Raheem Sterling in London's Emirates Stadium after just 75 seconds.

The surprising thing about it: The 1.70-meter-tall Sterling hit a header from Riyad Mahrez's cross.

Then the Guardiola-Elf controlled the national player Ilkay Gündogan and kept the hosts away from their own goal.

The 1: 0 sounds like an exciting game, but in fact Arsenal only managed one shot on the city goal.

Arsenal are stagnating with 34 points in mid-table, the Gunners are tenth and have lost three of their last four games.

After two championships, one FA Cup success and three league cup wins, Guardiola is still missing an international success with Man City.

On Wednesday he wants to take the next step on the way with his team in the first leg of the first leg of the premier class.

Due to the travel restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic, the game will not take place in Gladbach, but in Budapest.
