Hapoel Beer Sheva announced today (Monday) the extension of Miguel Vitor's contract for another season.
The Portuguese stopper said after the signing: "I am happy and happy to sign a contract extension for another season with the captain's armband. I have found a home in this club and I am full of appreciation for the support I receive from his team and the huge crowd. I will do anything to meet the team's goals "That very soon I will be able to go up to the lawn to sing to our dear fans."
Club president Alona Barkat said: "Miguel joined us in the summer of 2016, quickly became one of the dominant players on the team and therefore received the captain's armband. Vitor, who will be 32 this summer, came to Hapoel Beer Sheva in the summer of 2016 and was a partner in winning the team's last two championships in his first two years in Israel, when in his debut season in the Negev capital he was even crowned player of the season.
Vitor's misfortune, which became one of the fans' favorite players and later also the team captain, continued in the next two seasons, in which he played little, but in the 2019/20 season remained fit almost throughout the season.
In total, Vitor recorded 70 league games in four and a half years.
