The Milanese derby was one-sided yesterday.
Inter took control of him quickly, thanks in part to an early goal by Lautro Martinez.
It ended with a crushing 0: 3, which left Milan stunned, and the city of Milan painted blue-black.
The compliments naturally went to Martins who completed a double and Romulo Lukaku, who broke a record - five consecutive derbies in Milan that he conquers.
However, Inter coach Antonio Conte chose his own hero for the big win.
"I told Christian," Conte referred to Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen, "that it was his best performance in the team uniform so far. He did everything I asked of him on the pitch."
Conte detailed: "When needed he played in the center, joined the attack when he recognized an opportunity and contributed a lot to holding the ball that helped us control the game. I'm sure he could continue to improve, but even now he has proven himself by being able to stand out."
Inter have opened a four-point gap at the top of their urban rival, and look set to pick up the championship title, after nearly a decade of Juventus championships.
