A bang at the regional soccer division SpVgg Kammerberg: Kevin and Robin Streit are switching to the new season as player-coach for the A-class club TSV Schiltberg.

Kammerberg

- Bad news for the Kammerberg football fans: Kevin (29) and Robin Streit (25) will leave the SpVgg after the season.

A surprise?

Not really.

Robin, the younger of the two brothers, has developed into one of the best goal scorers in the Northern District League in recent years.

"We expected his departure," says SpVgg trainer Matthias Koston, but adds: "But definitely not with the fact that he moves down." For the disputes, it goes to the A-class, to TSV Schiltberg.

There they become player-coach.

Kevin Streit received the offer.

He wanted a second man by his side.

One he trusts.

He convinced his brother Robin.

He says: “We have been able to imagine for a long time that we would later become a player-coach.

The right opportunity now arose with Schiltberg. ”At the end of January, the brothers made the decision.

The threads come together in Schiltberg

But why Schiltberg?

The threads come together in the community in the Swabian district of Aichach-Friedberg.

The disputes come from Rapperzell, a village in the municipality - the TSV is their home club.

Father Fabian has been Schiltberg's mayor for almost a year.

Would Robin Streit have moved down three leagues to another club?

“Clearly no,” says the striker.

Was it important to him to switch with his brother?

"Absolutely.

We get along blindly on and off the pitch, and I couldn't imagine anyone better. "

Kammerberg's trainer Koston got to know the quarrels as a “real dream team”: “They are brothers as they are written in the books - they know each other inside out.” He sees Kevin as a “haven”, Robin as the “more active” of the brothers.

"Kevin once said that the player-coach thing appeals to him," says Koston.

The older of the Streit brothers was assistant coach at TSV Hilgertshausen in the 2017/18 season, after which he moved to Kammerberg.

His coach at the time: Manuel Haupt, a meticulous worker.

Koston has been the coach of SpVgg since this season.

“Kevin must have taken and questioned things from Manu Haupt and me,” says Koston.

And further: "I wish him the greatest possible success."

That is why SpVgg trainer Matthias Koston is disappointed

The SpVgg coach also wishes Robin the best - but he is disappointed with the younger of the Streit brothers.

“For him, the state or Bavarian league would have been the next logical step.

It annoys me a little that it goes down. ”The Kammerberg coach used to play in the regional league at ASV Dachau.

“And I wasn't as talented as he was.

It should be worthwhile to play as high as possible ”, says Koston, who attests to Robin Streit“ a lot of potential ”:“ He has everything, is strong at one-on-one, flexible and technically very good.

His shot is great.

And he still has room for improvement, ”emphasizes Koston.

“In addition, he was often doubled in the district league or even guarded by three opponents.

In the state or Bavarian league, that would not have been the case at first.

It might even have been easier for him. ”Robin Streit confirms inquiries from higher-class clubs, but there was nothing specific.

He made a different decision when his brother approached him.

Robin Streit waves the top scorer cannon

The season in Kammerberg will finish playing - even if it should go beyond the summer.

“We will definitely bring the season to an end in Kammerberg,” says Robin Streit.

The move to a higher league has not left.

“I don't want to rule it out completely, but for now I will concentrate fully on my new task.” And until then he tries to keep scoring for the Kammerberger.

20 goals this season in 22 games are so far.

The goalscorer cannon waves.
