The league director imposed a fine of NIS 30,000 on Hapoel Haifa after a number of its players, some of whom are not yet vaccinated with the second vaccine, violated isolation at the initiative of the team and came to visit a school on Purim.
The principal stated that "the players endangered their health and the continued existence of the league, in complete violation of the instructions of the Ministry of Health and the guidelines of the director of the league."
League Chairman Shmuel Frenkel said: “So far the Winner Basket League has proven that maintaining guidelines ensures its continued existence and no team is allowed to break the guidelines.
I expect all the groups to continue as they have done so far when we are so close to our most important goal, the return of the audience to the halls. "
The group visited the Ginegar School in Haifa, where children learn about the autistic continuum.
Those who came to the school are Ofek Avital, Amit Simhon, Keinan Evans and Rakim Buckles together with chairman Yuval Rossman and team manager Dudu Getz. Hapoel Haifa emphasized that every year the club makes sure to attend school events: In the coming days, the children will receive a special parcel return. "
Rossman promised to continue to support the school in the coming years as it has been so far:" The contribution to the community is an integral part of the club, and these days seeing the smile on the children's faces is worth it. "
