The home stage of the women's basketball league for first-class clubs will start on the 5th of next month, with the participation of the Qasioun, Ashrafieh, Al Thawra, Al-Wehda, Al-Galaa, Al-Hurriya, Al-Arabiya, Al-Ittihad and Al-Sahel teams.
In the first round of the Ashrafieh home stage, Al-Ittihad and Al-Thawra with Al-Hurriya will meet in the Al-Faiha hall in Damascus, while the Al-Galaa club hall in Aleppo witnesses the two meetings of Al-Galaa with the coast and Arabism with Tishreen.
At the end of the go-round, Qasioun, Al-Galaa and Al-Thawra equaled the same score of 17 points for each team in the first three positions, then Al-Wahda with 13 points, then Al-Orouba, Al-Ittihad and Al-Sahel with 12 points for each team, and Al-Hurriya and Al-Ashrafiya scored 11 points for each team.
The tournament system stipulates that the teams play in the first round back and forth, and at the end the last two clubs fall directly to the second division. The first four teams qualify for the final round where the first meets the fourth and the second with the third to win two out of three matches and the two winners qualify for the final match that is played. To win two out of three matches as well.
