Betar Jerusalem, which tonight (Thursday) officially selected the player Antoine Conte. Betar chairman Eli Ohana met with the player at the club's office and informed him of the official termination of his employment.

It should be noted that the former player will not be able to train with the team, and his residence permit in Israel will expire in a few days.

"We wish Antoine good luck along the way," the club said.

As you may recall, about a month ago a French court sentenced the actor to one year in prison and another two years on probation after he was accused of violently assaulting a teenager, while he was a Reims actor.

The 27-year-old Frenchman arrived at Betar Jerusalem in 2017 on loan from Reims, and following the good ability he displayed, it was decided to exercise the option on him and he remained in the capital, until his release tonight.

Earlier today, Betar announced the signing of Aviel Zargari for five years.
