The tight schedule has caused NBA leaders to give up the game between young Americans and the rest of the world.

The NBA All-Star Weekend will not showcase the youth game this time around, so Danny Abdia's hopes of being part of the traditional celebration have faded - at least in his first season in the best league in the world.
The best young players in the league will receive the honor and will be selected on March 3 as part of two rosters - the United States team against the rest of the world team, and while the Israeli has a very good chance of being selected, the game itself will not take place.
The format of the youth game has changed several times - the last time was in 2015, when it was decided to move from a Rockies game against a second-year player to a United States team game against the rest of the world (only players in their first or second season took part).

But this season, due to the tight schedule, it was decided to give up the youth game, because unlike previous years, all events are scheduled for that evening - March 7, when there will be the All-Star Game itself, as well as the various personal competitions that have not yet been scheduled. To cancel the weekend, led by LeBron James, however Adam Silver eventually decided to hold the event, in a slightly different format, in Atlanta.
"It is not clear to me that we are holding this All-Star at all.
For me, that decision is a slap in the face to the players, "James said." I have zero energy and zero excitement for this year's game.
I planned a five-day rest, and now I'll have to get to Allstar.
I will be there physically, but not mentally.
That is an unwise decision. "
