Fifa will not pursue the proceedings against Franz Beckenbauer, the former DFB President Theo Zwanziger and the former DFB General Secretary Horst R. Schmidt in connection with the 2006 World Cup summer fairy tale due to the statute of limitations.
That was decided by the adjudicatory chamber of the independent ethics committee.
