That is the record that Ignaz Berndaner has set.
Florian Vollmer could replace him, but the SCR would have to go far in the playoffs.

The main round in the ice hockey Oberliga Süd is slowly but surely coming to an end.
The SC Riessersee only has five games left.
And with the main round, Ignaz Berndaner’s record tends to come to an end.
The SCR legend has played a whopping 749 games in the white and blue jersey. “Nobody will overtake him”, most people would have thought.
But the mark could still be cracked this year.
By whom?
Of course by Florian Vollmer.

The captain of the current team will play his 737 game for the old master from Garmisch-Partenkirchen tonight at EV Lindau.
If he wants to become a record player this year, Vollmer has to get far into the playoffs with the SCR.
After the main round, he is still nine games missing to celebrate the next anniversary (750 games) and replace Bernander from the top.
Since the best-of-five series will be played in the playoffs this year, Riessersee should either make it exciting in the quarter and semi-finals or even move into the final.
Vollmer has a clear wish: "Better to go far," he emphasizes with a smile.
But he doesn't worry about his record.
He wasn't sure how many games he had already played.
“It would of course be a nice thing and an honor, but I've never cared about statistics.” If he doesn't succeed this year, he theoretically has the next season.
But at this point, Vollmer does not allow himself to be looked at.
“I'll leave that open until after the season.” In general, he could imagine another season at SCR.
Instead of the next season and the possible record, the captain focuses on the team and the remaining games in the main round.
The goal is to defend fourth place in the table.
The top three - Regensburg, Selb and Rosenheim - are out of reach.
The view goes down, because Höchstadt and Deggendorf are hot on the heels of Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
And the EC Peiting has not yet buried its playoff ambitions.
With fourth place, the SCR would avoid the three favorites in the quarter-finals.
But Vollmer warns, because he sees another team at this level.
"Deggendorf is one of them for me." He also thinks little of tacting in terms of table position.
“It usually goes wrong.
So you should concentrate on what you have in your own hands. ”And that is fourth rank.
This goal should be achieved, no matter how.
In the end, that's not what matters, emphasizes Vollmer.
“The last games like against Landsberg or Passau are not the best yardstick, we didn't play outstandingly either.
But at the end of the day it's the points that count. ”But they did not materialize against Memmingen,“ we played a better game than before ”.
Despite the good number of points, the SCR is not yet in top form.
The current rhythm is also a hindrance, says Vollmer.

The new coach, too, often seeks a conversation with established talent like Uli Maurer and Vollmer.
“As a coach, it's difficult when you're alone and don't have an assistant coach.

I value their opinion and like to hear them, even if I have to decide in the end.
