Two days ago, the anniversary of the funeral of Kobe Bryant, the star of the Los Angeles Lakers who was killed along with his daughter in a helicopter crash in January 2020, was marked.
The tragedy that affected his family and friends led many to seek the proper way to commemorate the super-player who won five championships with the Lakers.
Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving posted a picture on his Instagram account that engraved Bryant's image on the NBA logo, claiming it should be made a must-have, so that Bryant's character replaces Jerry West's.

"It has to happen. I don't care what everyone says," the post read at the beginning, then Irving added in large letters: "Black kings built the league."
Bryant's widow, Vanessa, was also quick to share the post that crossed the two million likes line and sparked a discussion about the issue between past stars, who had a hard time deciding whether it was indeed a necessary step.
