Also four goals in the double encounter against Olympiacos including a wonderful duo in the reciprocal on Thursday, in the Netherlands there are still those who doubt Eran Zahavi.

One of them is the former Dutch striker and Yam Kift, who has worn the uniforms of PSV Eindhoven in the past (as well as those of Ajax, Torino, Bordeaux and others), who claim that Zahavi and Doniel Mullen are hurting each other.

"Mullen is at least as ambitious as Zahavi. They both want to be the top scorers, but they just don't complement each other," Kift wrote this morning (Saturday) in a commentary column in Telegraph.

"Mullen's progress is supposed to be a top priority for PSV. He is supposed to excel and be sold for a large sum abroad, but Zehavi's presence does not help him."

Kift argues that the ego struggles between Mullen and Zahavi are hurting Eindhoven's team flow, and as an example takes some of the solo moves leftist has tried to make in the recent loss to Olympiacos.

"Mullen saw that Zahavi scored a double, so he did everything to not be left behind, including irresponsible kicks. He had to say to himself, 'This is not my day, but his day. Both of his goals are good for the team, and do not come at my expense.' Mullen was selfish, he still has to grow up. "

Kiff explains that the big credit he is getting from Zehavi from coach Roger Schmidt is hurting Mullen's progress.

"If Zahavi is fit, he always plays. Mullen, on the other hand, gets a lot more rest and doesn't develop in many cases. If Mullen had played in all the games, he would not have gotten from Schmidt the feeling that Zahavi is more important than him. Schmidt's decisions hurt Mullen's pace and development. "And he wants to conquer all the time. Zahavi did it excellently at low levels and in leagues like China and Israel. In the Dutch league and before that in the Italian league, it is much harder for him to conquer."
