The battle for Leo Messi is heating up.

Barcelona are still confident in their chances of keeping him, despite rumors of his desire and ambition to open a new page in another team with the end of his contract in the summer.

Leading presidential candidate Joan Laporta last night shot a propaganda video in which he is seen hugging a doll in the form of a flea and promising: "Leo, I'm making you an offer you can not refuse. Good luck."

Laporta has already stated his intention to keep the flea at all costs, and according to reports in Catalonia, if he is selected he does have a good chance of convincing Messi to continue at the club.

Along with Laporta's statements, there are increasing reports that as part of a plan to persuade Messi to stay, Barcelona intend to allocate a large sum for the purchase.

According to a report in the Catalan "Sport", the team intends to add a player over 150 million euros, hoping that the amount will be enough to add a star on a world scale, on the order of Killian Ambape or Arling Holland.

At the same time, there are those in the United States who are already preparing for Messi's arrival.

Franco Hera from Dallas FC, said last night: "If Messi comes to the MLS. We will all kiss his feet. It will be crazy, utter madness. He will break us up again and again, and we will be happy that we got to play against him."

According to Hera, "The MLS has already attracted stars like Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Gonzalo Higuain, so she can seduce Leo Messi as well. We can only hope he agrees to take the opportunity."

Barcelona are also dealing with the team's immediate goals, and some are convinced that the story against PSG is not over for the rematch in the last eight of the Champions League.

Although Barcelona were defeated 4-1 at the Camp Nou in the first game, former Barça president Juan Gaspar declared last night: "We are going to win 1: 6 in Paris, and win the Champions League. To be honest, I believe we will win the treble."
