Syrian sports will celebrate its golden anniversary tomorrow with a central celebration held by the General Sports Federation at Dar Al-Assad for Culture and Arts in Damascus.
The ceremony includes playing the Orchestra of the Higher Institute of Music led by Maestro Raad Khalaf, followed by the launch of the new logo of the General Sports Federation, a short film about the ancient city of Amrit, which includes the oldest sports facility in history, and sports performances for a number of athletes of all ages.
The ceremony will also witness the screening of a documentary film that narrates the story of Syrian sports over half a century prepared by director Najdat Anzour, in addition to honoring the owners of achievements in the history of Syrian sports.
The Central Council of the General Sports Federation held its meeting for the tenth session yesterday, during which the new logo of the Sports Federation was approved and a draft professional system was distributed for approval later.
It is noteworthy that the General Sports Federation was founded on February 18, 1971.
