The governorate football team ended the first leg of the first division league, topping the second group with 23 points.
At the conclusion of this round, the governorate achieved an important victory over its host Muadamiyat al-Sham with two goals for one goal during the meeting that was held at the Al-Galaa Sports City Stadium in Damascus. The governorate's goals scored in the 52 and 57 minutes to lead the group with 23 points, followed by Al-Arabi with 19 points, then Al-Dameer with 14 points and Al-Nabek with 6 Points and struggle with 5 points.
The team's technical director, Dr. Anas Al-Sebaei, explained in a statement to SANA that the team's players performed well in most matches, and we are all management and technical cadres determined to follow an escalating graphical line to reach our goal of returning to the Premier League.
The Al-Arabi team qualified for the final gathering alongside the governorate in the second group, while Al-Majd and Al-Wakeh team qualified from the first group and from the third group Afrin and the Norias, the winner from the Jihad match and Hama Police, and the winner from the Al-Jazeera and Murak match.
