Minister Delegate for Sports Roxana Maracineanu on Sunday brushed off the idea that the France-UKraine match at the end of March could allow the public to return to the Stade de France as the French Football Federation (FFF) hoped with a 30% gauge spectators.

"Today, it is clearly a premature question, the fact remains that we are working on it, asking the subject is important so as not to forget the subject", she declared on RTL Sunday evening.

At the start of the day, she explained on Europe 1 that "the (health) situation is complicated, for 20 departments, there will probably be curfews on weekends, there will be difficulties in exercising a practice, we cannot speak immediately of the gauge or the return of the public to the stadiums ”.

"We will have to wait, we have started today experiments in certain cultural and sporting places, we have to come up with protocols which involve all the new possible crisis management technologies", she continued. .

“Little by little, when we can resume, these are the protocols that will apply to pro clubs and when the France team will play,” insisted the former world swimming champion.

At the beginning of the week, the president of the FFF Noël Le Graët had let it be known that he would like "to put 30% of spectators", or 24,000 people, at the Stade de France on March 24 during the France-Ukraine match, counting for the qualifications for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Regarding the experiments for the return of the public to the stadiums, the Minister recalled that the question of the place and the framework of these experiments "is not yet decided".

"It will be up to Health to draw up the specifications, this is what will interest the health authorities, it will be a very specific audience, it will not be the all-rounder since there are legal and logistical concepts", she clarified.

In the cultural sector, test concerts with audiences in Marseille and Paris are already planned for March and April, if the context allows.
