Julia Reiter gave full throttle from the very first minute.

Langenpreising - online training of the performance group of the show dance formation "Starlights" under the umbrella of SV Staustorf was announced.

On time, 13 dancers had set up at home in front of their notebooks.

The instructor started with stretching exercises, a little strength training, muscle building, before the late co-trainer Liesa Pfort came in and the group could move on to the core of the training: step training, arm work, and the whole thing in the group.

Pfort took on the task of looking very carefully and critically to see whether the girls were doing everything right in front of their devices.

Reiter demonstrated the exercises: “Slip into the right balancing act!” And whoosh, some of the girls were no longer to be seen: They had set their cameras too high.

The trainer demanded a lot from her protégés: "Now with your shoulder on the floor!"

In principle, online training is a fine thing, but the weaknesses also showed up: Everyone had switched off their microphones, and so Reiter felt quite lonely in front of her computer at times.

"You are also welcome to talk to me," she called - the reactions were rather sparse.

The 13 dance athletes kept hearing exactly the counting method that all show dancers must have in their blood: “Five, six, seven, eight!” Pfort praised: “Yes, that is taking shape.” The two trainers turned out to be true perfectionists : "Ok., Again for Sandra!" Or also: "Slowly again, the pace!" But it also showed that some things go slower than fast, simply because there is not enough momentum in the matter.

And over and over again “Five, six, seven, eight!” Even the pre-dancer Reiter gradually started panting.

It was a real effort of concentration for her too, but it was worth it: Slowly a real choreography built up, and the assistant trainer became more and more satisfied: "Yes, that was nice and in sync now."

The structure of the training unit corresponded to what is also done during normal training.

But Reiter and her team do a lot more than that, try to include those age groups who do not get along so well with online training: They shoot small videos with tasks for the young dancers, and in this way they actually reach around 60 active people.

“They really enjoy it”, analyzed Reiter.

She does a lot to keep her troop together and, together with her fellow campaigners, personally delivered over 60 bags with small gifts for hours at Carnival - also much to the delight of club chairman Josef Buchner, who is happy about the commitment of the coaching team.
