Danny Abdia's tenth week as an NBA player started on the left foot.

In fact, it is a continuation of the week before, in which he learned that expectations are currently very high and to meet them, hard work awaits him.

Even tonight against the worst Minnesota, the Israeli rookie was the Washington player with the lowest output per minute on the field.

In 21 minutes he contributed only 2 points on 16% from the field, picked up only 2 rebounds and did not make any impact in the Wizards' victory.

And yet, Abdia should not be mourned, certainly not after 26 games in total.

His goal right now though is to look at the numbers, learn and analyze his team's way of playing and understand how he, as a fringe screw in the meantime, is helping the machine work better, to become a more central part of it.

A little over a third of a regular season is behind us, and the three key figures are far from impressive for draft pick 9. He scored 6.2 points per game, picked up 4.7 rebounds (most on defense) and handed out just 1.5 assists.

He does not block (0.2 per game) and his steals (0.7) are offset by his number of losses per game (0.8), all close to 22 minutes on the field.

The shooting percentage from the field (43.3%), off the arc (36.3%) and his penalty line (57.9%) are also insufficient.

Tuition is expensive and the pressure accordingly, and after the brief production against the Lakers Abdia is in a sharp decline in capacity, while at the same time Washington is booming with seven wins in eight games.

It is not easy for a 20-year-old to deal with such a situation, even in the best league in the world, but if he knows how to work on himself on the psychological side, there is no doubt that his talent and desire - which is not in doubt - .
