While his return was mentioned in Créteil after the separation with Richard Déziré, Carlos Secretario explains that he must stay at Portuga

After the hectic week and the separation with Richard Déziré the day after the defeat against Lyon SC (2-0) on Tuesday, the players of Créteil, who remained on three losses in the league, reacted well.

They beat Annecy (4-1, doubled from Sangaré, goals from Pancrate and Mokdad) on Saturday and go back to 6th place in the National.

“They got the response we were expecting,” explains Managing Director Rui Pataca.

Between the demanding Richard Déziré and the Cristolien group, differences on the mode of operation had appeared in recent weeks.

"I can train near my home, not in France"

Since Wednesday, Manuel Ramos and Edgar Sa have taken over the interim and led the team against Annecy.

But the two assistants do not have the necessary diplomas, a new coach should quickly arrive to complete the season.

While a return of Carlos Secretario seemed the preferred and most likely option a few days ago, the Portuguese technician, who had to leave the club in December for health reasons, will ultimately not return.

"I can train near my home in Portugal, but in France it is not possible," explained the former defender of Porto and Real Madrid, who returned to his family.

“It's not at all relevant, says Rui Pataca for his part.

Carlos still has to be treated in Portugal, so there is no way he will come back to us.

We are looking for a new trainer, we are looking at those who are available on the market.

We favor someone who knows the National.

"

The difficulty will be to find a coach who agrees to come - at least initially - just to finish the season.
