Maccabi Netanya is angry and feels that they were deprived by referee Erez Papir in the game yesterday (Saturday) against Hapoel Tel Aviv that ended in a 1: 0 loss.
Towards the end of the game, screen referee Liran Liani recognized that Maccabi Netanya deserved a penalty for a foul on striker Bernard Gora.
Papir did not just whistle for Pendel during and even when he was called to the screen position by Liani, he examined the apparent failure and decided to stick with his ruling and not whistle for a penalty kick from 11 yards out.
At the end of the game, they saw the event at Maccabi Netanya and went home with a great feeling of discrimination.
Regardless, Maccabi Netanya feels that the situation in the table is very stressful for the players and the effect they saw in the first half.
"Suddenly there is something to play for because the teams in the top playoffs will be determined soon and the players need to be mentally strong and up to the task," the club said.
Coach Raymond Atfeld talked about it with the players at the break and managed to send them to a better second half, but in the end the team failed to equalize at least.
