The German ski jumping team won the gold medal in the mixed competition of the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oberstdorf.
The selection around Katharina Althaus, Markus Eisenbichler, Anna Rupprecht and Karl Geiger succeeded in winning over Norway and Austria.
The team was already in the lead after the first round, and defended their position in the second section.
The mixed was only part of the World Cup program for the fifth time, and Germany had won the last three editions (2015, 2017, 2019).
For the German ski jumpers it is already the second medal in these championships, on Saturday Geiger had secured the silver medal from the normal hill.
