For his third start of the season in the Premier League against Burnley (4-0), Gareth Bale offered himself a brace and an assist with Tottenham. The Welsh striker has had his best performance for Spurs since returning to London at the start of the season.

What if Gareth Bale was the man for the job on the Spurs side?

The one that would allow José Mourinho's team, currently 8th in the Premier League, to move forward.

Tottenham's latest 4-0 success against Burnley is due in large part to their Welsh player, involved on all goals.

A decisive pass for Harry Kane (15th), a penultimate pass on the goal of Lucas Moura (41st) and his two achievements in the 2nd and 54th minute.

"I just keep working"

The 31-year-old's performance has been unanimously praised, logically considered the Welshman's best game since his comeback to Spurs last September, on loan from Real Madrid for a year.

This is a continuation of what he has been doing for some time.

Gareth Bale scored two goals and delivered an assist in the Europa League's double knockout round against Wolfsberger in February (4-1 in the first leg and 4-0 in the return).

One touch and.

This return to the fore for the Welsh international comes as anything but a surprise to the main stakeholder: “I know I can be criticized, but I'm experienced enough to keep my head down, not say anything stupid and insist on progress.

It's been a while so I just keep working, ”Gareth Bale said after the match against Burnley.

Gareth Bale really kicks off his season

It is true that the Welshman has come a long way, victim of an almost blank season until a few weeks ago.

From the start, this season was marred by multiple galleys: arrived injured in a knee, he chained the injuries and dragged morale at half mast at times according to his coach.

His deal with Heung-Min Son and Harry Kane facilitates his integration into Spurs' offensive animation and his individual stats are taking a hit.

According to Opta, Gareth Bale is involved on seven goals (four goals and three assists) in Tottenham's last four outings.

Bale's contribution as they enter the latter part of the season is a boon for the London side who remained on a five-game losing streak in six league games.

José Mourinho attests: "There is not a manager in the world who would not make him play when he is in shape."

But the goal is still a long way off.

Tottenham (8th) is six points behind West Ham (4th), synonymous with qualifying place for the Champions League.

The London club also has the opportunity to qualify in the premier competition via C3, where they will face Dynamo Zagreb in the round of 16 (March 11).

The challenge is therefore launched for Gareth Bale.
