After the big 0: 2 over Liverpool in the derby, Everton managed to record tonight (Monday) a second consecutive league victory - for the first time since December - with a difficult home 0: 1 against the deteriorating Southampton.
One goal by Richardson in the ninth minute made the difference between the two teams and the Toffees moved up to seventh place with 43 points, just two below Everton fourth and with a game in hand.
Southampton were left with 30 points, seven above the red line.
