Summary of Manchester City's 1: 2 win over West Ham (Sport 1)
Manchester City got into a heated argument with statistics and data giant Opta Sports.
Rock of Controversy: Pep Guardiola's 200th victory as coach of the Blues.
It all started on Saturday, when City beat West Ham 1-2 and on Opta's Twitter account they tweeted that he had reached 200 wins in 273 games, the fastest in the history of English football.
Club officials have read, disagreed and claim that Pep's 200 victory was already achieved on February 10, with the 1: 3 over Swansea in the League Cup.
Victories, unlike even goals and certainly cooking, are not something that is subject to debate.
So how come City and Opta still disagree?
While in the English club they decided to count victories on penalties as well, in the data society - as usual - only victories are counted in 90 minutes.
Victory in overtime or penalties, basically counted as a draw.

In Manchester City the matter was taken so seriously that a zoom meeting was scheduled with representatives of Opta.
The club's argument was that there are factories where the decision is reached only on penalties and therefore such games should be counted as wins (or losses), but the British company was not convinced.
This argument by the way, is not new.
In the 2017-18 season, City recorded 11 straight wins, until they met Wolves in the League Cup and beat them on penalties.
The club continued to count the following victories until they lost to Shakhtar Donetsk - reaching 20.
In Opta however, they started a new count after Wolves and reached only 8.
So far there are no agreements between the parties.
