Faced with health uncertainties, England is ready to host additional matches during the rescheduled Euro football this summer, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said in an interview with The Sun daily, published on Tuesday.
Postponed last year due to the coronavirus pandemic, the European Championship is to be played from June 11 in 12 cities on the European continent, including London which is to host seven matches, including the semi-finals and the final.
According to the tabloid, the British government is in talks with UEFA, the governing body of European football, to organize more matches in England, presumably in London, due to the increase in the number of cases on the continent and the slow roll-out of vaccines.
