If you have a corner kick, you are hoping for a goal.
But if you are unlucky, you can get a hit in direct return if you lose the ball after the corner.
In the 66th minute, Borussia Mönchengladbach had a corner kick when the score was 0-0 - the ball flew into Borussia Dortmund's penalty area, it was blocked, and Florian Neuhaus tried to pass it into the penalty area again.
But Dortmund's Nico Schulz - who normally would not have played at all - had been careful, he intervened.
Then things went very quickly in the DFB Cup quarter-final duel.

After Schulz conquered the ball in his own penalty area, hand-stopped 13 seconds passed, then the ball was on the other side in the goal.
Schulz switched over immediately, then you saw several shifts: First the ball went in the middle to Haaland, then to the right to Reus and from there over to the other left side to Jadon Sancho.
Direct, beautiful pass, it went all over the place and pretty quickly: Sancho completed the Dortmund dream counterattack to lead.
Result of the game:
Borussia Dortmund won the duel against future coach Marco Rose and can continue to hope for victory in the DFB Cup.
The game against Borussia Mönchengladbach ended 1-0 (0-0).

Afterwards there was a lot of praise for the Dortmund trainer Edin Terzić, who will position himself behind Rose as an assistant coach after the summer.
Mats Hummels said of Terzić: "He has a great career ahead of him."
To ashes, to dust:
just under four weeks ago, the world of Borussia Mönchengladbach was still intact, now the team has not been able to win the sixth game in a row, and the Champions League should soon be over.
That wouldn't be a big deal.

But in the 66th minute he should become part of the fantastic combination that led to Dortmund's progress.
After the focal point, there was little fire:
the first half fell into the category "There is more", at least - it got off to a good start.
Marcus Thuram appeared in the second minute after a cross from Jonas Hofmann free in front of the goal, but he hadn't hit the ball properly.
Dortmund was deep, and when BVB tried to attack, two or three Gladbachers quickly attacked.
It was fitting that the most dangerous scene came about after a long pass: Mats Hummels had outstripped the Gladbach chain with a wide ball, Erling Haaland ran towards the goal, but Nico Elvedi was able to disturb the Norwegian with his shot from 15 meters.
An offside goal by Thuram shortly before the half-time whistle was the last upset.
Real playmaker:
Marco Reus started the game with 133 goals and 90 assists in the BVB jersey.
In the 53rd minute the 91 assist was almost added, but a goal from Haaland after a pass from Reus did not count for foul play.
A little later, however, Reus was able to look forward to assist number 91 when he put on the winning goal by Sancho.

Why are we talking about the Reus statistics?
It is the interim result of the Dortmund game designer who played his 300th competitive game for BVB that evening and was able to celebrate his anniversary at the old place of work in Borussia-Park.
There could have been significantly more games, in 2012 Reus came from Gladbach to Dortmund, but the 31-year-old was injured again and again during his time at BVB.
Ironically, in this season, when the burden is considered particularly high due to the tight schedule, Reus has not missed a single game due to injury.
Outlook:
Borussia from Gladbach will only remain in the Bundesliga if there is no more sensation in the Champions League against Manchester City.
They want to qualify for Europe again, but the team is only ninth.
This season could end brutally.
