FC Neufahrn has clarified an important personnel issue: Willi Kalichman will remain with the local soccer team.
- FC Neufahrn set the course for the new season at an early stage: Coach Willi Kalichman will look after the district class team together with assistant coach Christian Trasberger in 2021/22, says sports director Mario Moharitsch.
"We are very satisfied with our coaching duo and glad that we can continue like this."
Kalichman took over the team about three years ago.
He was previously employed as a goalkeeping coach.
Initially, especially in 2019, the coaching team had a hard time, says Moharitsch: "We had a few departures, an unfortunate situation in the squad and a poor participation in training." Kalichman and the FCN responded with a strategic realignment - "We want to solve it with our own youth “, Says Moharitsch.
A scaffolding of five or six experienced players should support a team that is mainly recruited from its own youth.
Talents become high performers
The average age of the management is now under 25 years.
Last summer alone, five A-youths moved up into the first team.
Offensive talent Patrick Novak (18) became a top performer straight away.
In addition, the 23-year-old Alexander Bienen is considered a talented goalkeeper.
"The boys have a 100 percent training participation," says Moharitsch happily.
"The boys are fully involved."
But not only with regard to the management philosophy, there are many reasons for “business as usual”: “This solidarity is important to us.
Willi is totally committed and integrated into the club, ”says Moharitsch.
Therefore, one also accepts the current midfield position seven, which does not quite correspond to the ambitions.
"But we are now on the right track."
"We want to develop a team that can attack at the top."
However, it is also clear: Moharitsch does not want to have anything to do with relegation.
Currently only five points separate the FCN from the first relegation relegation place.
“The primary goal until summer is to keep the class stable.
This team takes time and patience.
But then we want to slowly develop a team that can attack at the top. "
From a purely tactical point of view, Moharitsch expects a more variable offensive.
From a compact defense, faster switching football should be practiced in the future.
The fact that the top scorer in 2020 was 18-year-old Novak is a little telling.
In addition, the sports director relies on newcomer Marko Dapic (Vatanspor Freising), who should bring his creativity to the team.
