The head of the technical committee for weightlifting in Homs, Muhammad al-Najjar, believes that the governorate's players have achieved good results. In the youth category, they scored two bronze medals through Ahmed Al-Jasem with a weight of 55 kg and Hadi Fawaz with a weight of over 109 kg, and a silver through Mahdi Al-Sheikh with a weight of 109 kg, while the player of the men's team, Moayad Al-Najjar, won one gold Above 109 kg, pointing out that the game suffers from a lack of interest by clubs despite the efforts being made to improve the reality of the game in the province.
