Olympique Lyonnais top the Ligue 1 soccer league temporarily after Hossam Aouar scored a goal in the second half to win a 1-0 home win over Stade Rennes today.
Aouar scored 16 minutes before the end, bringing Lyon's tally to 59 points from 28 matches, ahead of Lille, who host Marseille at a later time.
Rennes, who has now won just one of his last ten league matches, and coach Julian Stefan resigned last Monday, is 10th with 38 points from 27 matches.
St Germain, defending champion and third-place holder with 57 points, will visit Bordeaux later in the day.
