Brazilian football legend Pele, who celebrated his 80th birthday this year, received his first vaccine for Corona yesterday (Tuesday).
The three-time World Cup champion with the Brazilian national team and who is considered one of the greatest footballers in history, did not tell where he got the vaccine but his goal is to encourage his people to get vaccinated following him.
"Today is an unforgettable day - I got the vaccine !," Pele said.
"The epidemic is not over yet. We must maintain discipline to maintain life until many people have taken the vaccine," When you go out, do not forget your masks and keep a social distance.
It will pass if we can think of others and help each other, "he added.
In Brazil it is in second place in the number of deaths from Corona as the number of victims approaches 260,000.
Last week was the deadliest in the country since the onset of the plague, with 8,244 deaths, with less than 4% of Brazil's population known to have been vaccinated against the virus that has been in our lives for a year.
