The Barça thrashes in the eighth of the Champions

Barça is a powerful and balanced team, owner of Spain and serious in Europe, led by an unprecedented scorer like Jennifer Hermoso, well protected by Caroline Graham and Alexia Putellas.

Barcelona defeated Fortuna Hjörring (Denmark) 4-0 in the first leg of the knockout stages of the Women's Champions League.

And Hermoso, top gunner in the history of the Barça team, left the Estadi Johan Cruyff with the ball after sending three assists from the Norwegian to the net.

Putellas scored the fourth in a duel in which Lluís Cortés's girls tried 35 shots, 17 on target.

The historic Fortuna Hjörring, winner of 11 leagues and nine cups, the only Danish team to have played in a Champions League final (2003), was an unknown for Barcelona.

The Scandinavian team, third in their league, had played their last game on December 27.

The cold has paralyzed the competition in Denmark and the Barça coach tried to avoid the excess of confidence of his players against a rival who did not know how he could respond.

Cortés, above all, wanted to leave the tie sentenced in Barcelona.

Barcelona did not hesitate.

The clock had not yet touched 20 minutes when the partnership between Graham and Hermoso had already disarmed the secure defense of Fortuna Hjörring, the least thrashed team in the Danish league.

“It is very positive for me that Caro plays on the right wing.

We understand each other very well ”, assured the Madrilenian.

The formula was repeated after passing through the locker room: Graham's imbalance, Hermoso's scoring power.

Three assists from Norway, three goals from Madrid.

Alexia Putellas, at the end, closed the win.

Next Wednesday, Barcelona will seek to seal their ticket to the quarterfinals in Denmark.
