The Three Wise Men are a public holiday in Catholic Poland.
Nevertheless, Robert Lewandowski had a business meeting on January 6th last year.
The professional footballer had an appointment with his former advisor Cezary Kucharski in a bar in downtown Warsaw, the Baczewskich restaurant.
The FC Bayern striker secretly recorded this conversation and a meeting in Munich a few months earlier.
Lewandowski handed over the copies of these recordings to the Warsaw public prosecutor's office at the beginning of October 2020.
They are a central subject of investigation in a football thriller, in which it is currently confused who is the perpetrator and who is the victim:
Lewandowski accuses Kucharski of blackmail.
Kucharski, in turn, had accused Lewandowski of having stolen funds from their joint company.
